Lenovo in Brief — RTX Spark, ThinkPads and Hot Deals

Lenovo at a glance - RTX Spark, ThinkPads and hot deals

The second half of October 2026 was packed with important news from the Lenovo world - from the debut of the first laptops with the NVIDIA RTX Spark chip, through detailed reviews of the ThinkPad T14 Gen 7 and the Yoga 9 2-in-1, to the surprisingly early launch of the IdeaPad Vibe 14Q8X12 and attractive price cuts on gaming hardware. We have gathered the most important news of recent days in one place, so that you don't miss anything.

Lenovo Pro 9n - first impressions of the laptop with NVIDIA RTX Spark

The Lenovo Pro 9n has taken centre stage as the first Lenovo laptop with an NVIDIA RTX Spark processor. The Windows Central editorial team carried out an initial hands-on review of the 15.3-inch device, aimed primarily at creators working with 3D rendering and video editing.

The specification is impressive: a 2.5K OLED display with Pantone certification, four Dolby Atmos speakers, a haptic touchpad and stylus support. The RTX Spark chip - a processor based on ARM architecture with a powerful integrated GPU and unified memory - also opens the door to local AI-based workflows and smooth gaming. The starting price is 2999.99 USD.

At the same time, one of the Windows Central editors took the Pro 9n on a 10-hour trip to check whether the device can realistically replace both a work machine and a Steam Deck. First impressions from playing The Witcher 3: The Wild Hunt Remastered were promising, although the key question remains battery life in demanding titles. Windows Central will publish the full test with benchmarks later.

Yoga 9n vs. a future touchscreen MacBook - what Apple can learn

The Verge devoted a separate article to analysing the Lenovo Yoga 9n - a workstation-class convertible with a 16-inch touchscreen and stylus, powered by the same RTX Spark chip. According to the editors, the Yoga 9n stands out from other laptops with this platform precisely because it combines a touchscreen with a 2-in-1 form, while competing RTX Spark models do have touch displays, but a classic clamshell design.

The RTX Spark architecture - ARM with a large pool of unified memory - brings to mind Apple silicon in modern MacBook Pros. The Verge suggests that when Apple finally decides to make a MacBook with a touchscreen, it should draw inspiration from the flexibility and versatility of the Yoga 9n.

It is an interesting market observation: Lenovo may be setting a direction that other manufacturers, including Apple, will follow. The Yoga 9n shows that touch and a stylus combined with a powerful ARM platform make sense not only in tablets, but also in full-fledged premium laptops.

ThinkPad T14 Gen 7 - the most powerful office ThinkPad in a detailed review

Notebookcheck has published an extensive review of the high-performance version of the ThinkPad T14 Gen 7 - a model that the editors call the most powerful office laptop in the entire ThinkPad line. The key component is the Intel Core Ultra 7 366H processor, offering significantly higher performance than the processor in the base variant.

Equally important is the 2.8K OLED panel, which provides exceptional image quality and advanced capabilities for professional work. For professionals who deal with documents, data and video conferencing, this is a real difference every day, not just a number in the specification.

The review compares this model with the base T14 Gen 7 configuration, highlighting significant improvements in the specification. The T14 Gen 7 in this version is an offer for business users who do not want to compromise on either computing power or screen quality.

If you use an older, proven business ThinkPad, you will find spare parts for popular models such as the ThinkPad T14 in our shop.

Yoga 9 2-in-1 14IPH11 - a great convertible with one serious flaw

Notebookcheck has also published a review of the Lenovo Yoga 9 2-in-1 14IPH11 - this year's premium convertible, which evokes mixed feelings. On the one hand: a solid chassis, elegant design and well-chosen internal components. On the other - the lack of Panther Lake-X7 or Panther Lake-H processors, which are already appearing in competing products.

The reviewer compared the Yoga 9 with the HP OmniBook X Flip 14 and the MSI Prestige 14 Flip - both models perform better precisely in terms of computing power. This is particularly painful because in the premium segment users rightly expect the latest processor solutions, not weaker variants of the current platform.

The Yoga 9 14IPH11 also does not bring significant improvements over the previous generation. For owners of its predecessor, the difference may therefore be barely noticeable. It is a device for those who value Lenovo's proven ecosystem and design, but do not absolutely need the fastest CPU on the market.

IdeaPad Vibe 14 and Legion - launches, prices and deals of the week

The IdeaPad Vibe 14Q8X12 with a Snapdragon - presented at IFA 2026 as a response to the MacBook Neo - went on sale a month earlier than planned. The laptop has reached the USA, the United Kingdom, Canada, the eurozone, Malaysia and Singapore. The price in the States is 799.99 USD for the variant with 8 GB RAM and 256 GB SSD, which is 100 dollars more than announced.

The Vibe 14Q8X12 has several real advantages over the MacBook Neo: more ports, a backlit keyboard, a richer colour palette and a higher maximum RAM capacity. The weaker points are the soldered SSD and the screen with 400 nits brightness and 45% NTSC colour gamut, which performs worse than Apple's display. Incidentally: the price increase results from the general rise in component costs - Apple also raised the price of the MacBook Neo from 599 to 699 USD in June 2026 for the same reason.

When it comes to gaming, Best Buy is offering a 16-inch Legion 5i with an RTX 5070 and a 3K/240Hz screen for 1799.99 USD - a discount of as much as 850 dollars (32%) off the regular price of 2649.99 USD. The Intel Core Ultra 7 255HX processor, 16 GB RAM and 1 TB SSD complete a very solid specification for demanding gamers.

Meanwhile, the Legion Go S with SteamOS - an alternative to the Steam Deck OLED - is available at Best Buy for 999.99 USD (reduced from 1579.99 USD). The eight-inch 1080p/120Hz screen, 32 GB RAM, 1 TB drive and Ryzen Z1 Extreme make it a strong proposition in the gaming handheld segment, although the Asus ROG Ally X20 with a Z2 Extreme processor and an OLED screen for 1299.99 USD is more powerful.

The ThinkPad community - used machines and love for the classics

The r/thinkpad subreddit was buzzing this week thanks to several interesting posts from users sharing their purchases. One of them showed off a first ThinkPad - an L14 model with an 11th-generation Intel Core i5 processor, 16 GB RAM and 256 GB SSD bought for 255 euros. Despite concerns about the quality of materials in the L series, the laptop turned out to be solidly built and handles everyday tasks and programming well. The owner plans to replace Windows 11 with Linux and is considering Fedora.

Another user described buying a ThinkPad T14 Gen 2 with an AMD Ryzen 5 5650U processor for 270 USD - a Samsung NVMe drive with 98% health, 16 GB RAM and a battery retaining 89% of its capacity. The user set the charge thresholds to 50-60%, and the machine runs efficiently and cools well. They plan to replace the thermal paste with PTM7950 - a classic service procedure in the ThinkPad community.

A similar topic appeared in a post about an X1 Carbon G11 with an Intel Core i7-1370P processor, 64 GB RAM, an OLED screen and a 5G modem, bought on a marketplace as a replacement for an old Dell. After replacing the paste with PTM7950 and optimising the PL1 limit, the user noted around a 7 percent performance improvement with lower temperatures and complete elimination of throttling. An excellent example of how simple servicing can breathe new life into used hardware. You will find original parts for models such as the ThinkPad X1 Carbon in our offer.

Finally - an extensive review of the ThinkPad X9 15p by a veteran with a collection of T60, X220, X230 and T480s. The author tested a configuration with an X7 358H processor, 32 GB RAM and 1 TB SSD (1680 USD before tax). He highlights an interesting design feature: the "engine hub" - a plastic module at the back of the chassis that improves airflow and allows larger fans to be fitted. Compared with the original X9 15 from 2025, the newer X9 15p has a reinforced metal frame inside the engine hub, which increases durability when carrying the laptop.

Lenovo in business - a leader in the future of work and AI for enterprises

Recently, Lenovo has also boasted several important achievements on the business front. Information Services Group (ISG) awarded the company multiple leader positions in the Future of Work 2026 evaluations, and additionally honoured it with the Rising Star designation. This confirms that Lenovo's products and ecosystem meet the highest standards in the area of devices for hybrid workers and corporate environments.

At the same time, Lenovo has expanded its AI library with new, validated use cases for enterprises. The company's research indicates that organisations implementing these solutions can move from the AI experimentation phase to measurable results up to 24 times faster. The library includes use cases developed with partners as well as documented results and best practices that can be implemented across various industries and organisations of different sizes.

Lenovo has also published a new documentary series following entrepreneurs from around the world who, thanks to technology and unexpected connections, have found new paths for business growth. The project highlights the company's commitment to the SME ecosystem and shows the real impact of digital tools on startups expanding beyond the borders of local markets.
