What's the difference between the Legion Y530, Y540 and Y7000?

They are sibling gaming models from 2018–2019. The Y7000 is essentially the market name of the Y530/Y540 equivalent, so they share the same case and most parts. Minor differences (e.g. the LCD bezel or a specific fan) should be matched by FRU number for your version.

My Legion has two fans — how do I choose the right one?

The Legion Y530/Y540/Y7000 has two independent fans: one cools the processor (CPU), the other the graphics card (GPU). They are different parts with different FRU numbers. If one is noisy or not spinning, pick the matching one (CPU or GPU); for a full cooling service both are often replaced.

Do Legion Y530 parts fit a Y540?

Many do — the cases (bottom, LCD back cover), palmrest, hinges and cables are largely shared across the Y530, Y540 and Y7000 family. Some details differ between versions (e.g. the LCD bezel), so the most reliable way is to match by FRU number.

Is the keyboard replaced separately in the Legion?

As standard the whole "palmrest with keyboard and touchpad" is replaced, because the keyboard is riveted (heat-staked) to the palmrest. Which drive does the Legion Y530 / Y540 support?
