Do parts from the ThinkPad T450 or T470 fit the T460?

Often yes. The T460 shares its construction with the T450 (predecessor) and the T470 (successor) — the same 14" line — many cases, palmrests, hinges, cables and Power Bridge batteries are shared. Match the motherboard strictly by FRU number (the T460 uses Skylake).

What battery does the T460 have and which one to choose?

The T460 uses the Power Bridge system: an internal battery plus a second external one, replaceable from the rear (3- or 6-cell) — the external one can be swapped without shutting the laptop down. Choose the variant by FRU number. Separately there is a small CMOS battery backing up the BIOS settings.

Which LCD display cable should I choose for the T460?

It depends on the panel — the T460 came with an HD and a Full HD (IPS) panel, touch and non-touch. Each type has its own eDP cable with a different FRU number; an incompatible cable = no image. First determine your display type, then choose an item from the Display, cables and hinges section.

Palmrest for the T460 — with or without a fingerprint reader?

The T460 charges with a Slim Tip (rectangular) adapter, 45 W or 65 W — the same type as the T450 / T470 and many ThinkPads of that period. Choose a wattage no lower than the original. USB-C charging will not power the T460.
