Do parts from the ThinkPad T520 or T430 fit the T530?

Partly. The T530 (15.6") shares many parts with the T520 (predecessor) and some electronics with the 14" T430 (the same Ivy Bridge generation, island keyboard). The 15" and 14" cases differ, so large parts are not interchangeable. Match the motherboard by FRU number (T530 — Ivy Bridge).

What battery does the T530 have and which one to choose?

The T530 has a classic, removable battery mounted at the rear (6- or 9-cell); additionally an Ultrabay battery can be fitted in place of the optical drive. It is a design predating the Power Bridge system. Choose the variant by FRU number. Separately there is a small CMOS battery backing up the BIOS settings.

Which LCD display cable should I choose for the T530?

The T530 came with a 15.6" HD (1366×768), HD+ (1600×900) or Full HD (1920×1080) panel. Each type has its own cable with a different FRU number; a mismatch = no image. First determine your display type, then choose an item from the Display, cables and hinges section.
