In short: in a Lenovo ThinkPad T14 Gen 3 you can replace virtually every component — from the battery, palmrest and keyboard, through cables and the display, to the motherboard and USB-C charger. The most reliable way to match the right part is the FRU / Part Number printed on the original component. We confirm model compatibility against the official Lenovo Hardware Maintenance Manual and the laptop's As-Built number, so each part lists verified compatible models and replacement numbers. Below is the full list of T14 Gen 3 parts grouped by component — click to go to the offer.

Frequently asked questions about T14 Gen 3 parts

T14 Gen 3 Intel vs AMD — are the parts the same?

Not always. The ThinkPad T14 Gen 3 came in two independent versions: Intel (12th generation, Alder Lake) and AMD (Ryzen 6000) — separate base models with their own motherboard, cooling and partly different bottom case. The top cover, keyboard, palmrest and battery are often shared, but match the motherboard and fan strictly by FRU number, also checking the model designation (Intel 21AH/21AK, AMD 21CF/21CG).

Do parts from the ThinkPad T14 Gen 2 or Gen 4 fit the T14 Gen 3?

Partly. The T14 Gen 3 shares the chassis design and many mechanical elements with the T14 Gen 2 (predecessor) and T14 Gen 4 (successor) — the same 14" family. The electronics (motherboard, fan) are however specific to the processor generation, so match those parts strictly by FRU number, not just by the series name.

What battery does the T14 Gen 3 have and which one to choose?

The T14 Gen 3 has an internal battery, mounted inside the case (not replaceable from the bottom). Choose the matching cell by the FRU number of your current battery — in the Main batteries section above. Separately there is a small CMOS battery backing up the BIOS settings.

Which LCD display cable should I choose for the T14 Gen 3?

It depends on the installed panel — the T14 Gen 3 came with Full HD panels (including low-power variants) and WUXGA, touch and non-touch. Each type has its own eDP cable with a different FRU number; an incompatible cable means no image. First determine your display type, then choose an item from the Display, cables and hinges section.

Palmrest and keyboard for the T14 Gen 3 — what to look out for?

Choose a variant matching your keyboard language layout as well as the presence of a fingerprint reader and backlighting — the T14 Gen 3 came in several palmrest configurations. Variants with available FRU numbers are in the Palmrest, keyboard, touchpad section.

Which motherboard fits the T14 Gen 3?

It depends on the processor version — Intel (12th gen. Alder Lake, i5/i7) or AMD (Ryzen 6000, U/PRO), with an optional WWAN modem. The motherboard is matched strictly by FRU number — check the marking of your current board or give us your configuration (processor, WWAN).

What charger does the T14 Gen 3 use?

The T14 Gen 3 charges via a USB-C port (not the rectangular Slim Tip plug of older ThinkPads), usually with a 65 W charger. Any working USB-C Power Delivery charger of adequate wattage will work — confirm a wattage no lower than the original.

How do I check the FRU number of a T14 Gen 3 part?

The FRU number (Part Number) is printed on the component itself — on the battery, palmrest, cable or board. It is the most reliable way to choose. We described how to read it in our guide How to read a Lenovo FRU number.

Which T14 Gen 3 parts are replaced most often?

The most frequently replaced are the battery (it loses capacity over the years), the display cable and hinges, the palmrest and the fan. You will find all these items in the list above with their FRU numbers.
