🔧 INSTALLATION

5. Loosen the thermal module screws and carefully remove the old module
6. Thoroughly clean the old thermal interface material from the CPU and apply new material according to Lenovo guidelines (the ThinkPad P1 Gen 8 uses liquid metal cooling)
7. Fit the new module and tighten the screws evenly, without excessive force
8. Reconnect the fan connectors and the battery, refit the base cover
9. Power on and check temperatures and fan operation under load
