6. Thoroughly clean the old thermal interface material from the CPU and GPU and apply new material according to Lenovo guidelines
7. Fit the new module and tighten the screws evenly, without excessive force
8. Reconnect the fan connectors and the battery, refit the base cover
9. Power on and check temperatures and fan operation under load
Installation by a service technician or an experienced person is recommended.
