Lenovo in Brief - RTX Spark, Tab Plus Gen 2 & ThinkPad X1

Lenovo in brief - RTX Spark, Tab Plus Gen 2 and ThinkPad X1

The past week was dominated by loud Lenovo announcements: news spread around the world about the Yoga Pro 9n with the revolutionary NVIDIA RTX Spark N1X chip, while the Tab Plus Gen 2 tablet with nine JBL speakers delighted multimedia fans. On top of that come detailed reviews of the Yoga Pro 7i and 9i Aura Edition and enthusiastic user reports on the ThinkPad X1 Carbon Gen 14 - we have gathered everything in one place.

Yoga Pro 9n - the first laptop with NVIDIA RTX Spark N1X

Lenovo has officially unveiled the Yoga Pro 9n - one of the first laptops in the world equipped with the NVIDIA RTX Spark N1X chip, announced by NVIDIA at Computex 2026 in Taiwan. It is a next-generation SoC combining a 20-core Grace processor with a GPU based on the Blackwell architecture, which according to the manufacturer should deliver performance comparable to dedicated RTX graphics cards while maintaining high energy efficiency.

In terms of design, the Yoga Pro 9n will feature a 15-inch screen housed in an aluminium chassis in Thunder Gray. Lenovo's engineers have provided an extensive cooling system with a wide air intake on the underside and large exhaust vents at the back - essential for handling such a demanding chip. The whole is completed by a set of six speakers supported by Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos technologies.

The laptop is positioned for content creators and artificial intelligence enthusiasts who need maximum computing power in a portable form. The launch is planned for autumn 2026. On the market, the Yoga Pro 9n will be joined by other RTX Spark devices, including those from ASUS, MSI, Dell, HP and Microsoft - but Lenovo clearly wants to be at the forefront of this race.

Tab Plus Gen 2 - nine JBL speakers and a 2.5K display

Tab Plus Gen 2 - nine JBL speakers and a 2.5K display

The Lenovo Tab Plus Gen 2 is definitely the loudest (literally) tablet of the week. The new generation of the popular multimedia model has received as many as nine speakers designed in cooperation with the JBL brand - one more than its predecessor. This required increasing the thickness of the characteristic bulge on the back of the device: from 13.58 mm to 22.7 mm. Lenovo does not apologise for this decision - audio is the DNA of this product.

However, the thicker rear section is not merely an acoustic compromise. It houses an integrated stand that rotates 360 degrees and holds the tablet stably in both portrait and landscape orientation. This is a great convenience for users who watch films or make video calls, with no need to buy a case with a stand.

The screen of the new Tab Plus Gen 2 offers 2.5K resolution, providing sharpness and vivid colours that will be appreciated by both streaming lovers and people working with graphics. The tablet is supported by artificial intelligence features that optimise the entertainment and productivity experience. Lenovo has not yet given exact launch dates for individual markets, but the device has attracted considerable interest from the trade press around the world.

Yoga Pro 7i and 9i Aura Edition - reviews of two premium laptops

Yoga Pro 7i and 9i Aura Edition - reviews of two premium laptops

This week, the Ultrabookreview website published two detailed reviews of the new 11th generation Yoga Pro Aura Edition laptops, based on Intel Panther Lake processors. Both models use the new architecture, whose key advantage is a significant improvement in energy efficiency - this translates directly into longer battery life and quieter fan operation, especially under moderate load.

Yoga Pro 9i Aura Edition is a 16-inch flagship with a Tandem OLED touchscreen, aimed at professionals and creators as direct competition for the MacBook Pro 16 or the Dell XPS 16. It weighs less than 2 kg, offers mid-range RTX graphics cards and excellent speakers with rich sound reproduction. Reviewers appreciate the balance between performance and mobility, although they point out the high price and the lack of configurations with top-end GPUs - in this respect the Asus ROG Zephyrus G16 and Razer Blade 16 have the upper hand.

Yoga Pro 7i 15 Aura Edition positions itself as a more affordable and lighter alternative to the 9i model. The tested unit was equipped with an Intel Core Ultra 9 386H processor (16 cores) and an Nvidia RTX 5060 8 GB card with Advanced Optimus support. Its 2.5K OLED screen (2560√ó1600 px) runs at a 165 Hz refresh rate with a 0.2 ms response time, reaching 1100 nits in HDR mode with full DCI-P3 gamut coverage. Connectivity is completed by two Thunderbolt 4 ports, HDMI 2.1, two USB-A 3.2 ports, an SD card reader and WiFi 7, while the 84 Wh battery is charged with a 140 W charger via USB-C.

ThinkPad X1 Carbon Gen 14 - users' first impressions

ThinkPad X1 Carbon Gen 14 - users' first impressions

The Reddit community r/thinkpad is buzzing this week about the new ThinkPad X1 Carbon Gen 14. Several users have shared fresh accounts from their first days of use. The configuration with a Core i7-365 processor, 64 GB RAM, 1 TB SSD, a 2.8K OLED touch display and a 5G WWAN modem makes a very good impression on users from the first startup.

Reviewers unanimously praise the legendary ThinkPad keyboard - the build and feel remain world-class. The touchpad and buttons require a short adaptation period, but after a few days of use they turn out to be comfortable and speed up work. The fan runs practically silently, and heat dissipation through the keyboard is minimal - important information for people who work in quiet environments.

The matte 2.8K OLED display initially raised doubts among users accustomed to glossy 4K panels, but it quickly proved to be outstanding in terms of contrast and colour reproduction. According to one report, the built-in camera matches the quality of professional solutions such as the Logitech 4K. Lenovo also kept to its deadlines - the machine reached customers faster than estimates suggested.

It is worth remembering that older generations of the X1 Carbon (Gen 5-11) are still easy to upgrade and service - we have collected a complete set of parts divided by generation in our guide to ThinkPad X1 Carbon parts.

ThinkTab X11 - a fully equipped business tablet with 5G

NotebookCheck has published a review of the Lenovo ThinkTab X11 Gen 1 - the first tablet in the Think series running Android after a long absence from the market. The device stands out with a set of features that are slowly becoming rare in modern tablets: an SD card slot, a 3.5 mm headphone jack, eSIM support and NFC, plus two USB ports.

The ThinkTab X11 offers 5G connectivity, which makes it a fully self-sufficient device for fieldwork. Its reinforced construction is intended for users who demand reliable equipment - in the spirit of the entire Think series. The tablet comes with a stylus, which extends its productivity capabilities and sets it apart from consumer tablets focused solely on entertainment.

The ThinkTab X11 fills a gap in the market for Android business tablets, where comprehensive features and solid build matter more than minimalist design. It is a proposition for companies and professionals who need a reliable, versatile work tool.

ThinkPad and Linux - a lasting friendship in the community's words

Two posts from r/thinkpad reminded us this week why ThinkPads are so popular in the open-source community. The first is the classic "I got my first ThinkPad and installed Arch" - a simple sentence that says it all among Linux enthusiasts. Excellent hardware compatibility and a culture of openness around these laptops make them the first choice for users who prefer alternative operating systems.

The second post is even more telling: a user described his experience after seven months with the ThinkPad X1 Tablet Gen 3. The device initially ran Windows, but after switching to the Cachy Linux distribution with the KDE environment he noted a dramatic improvement in performance and responsiveness. This is a testament to the longevity of Lenovo hardware - the right operating system can breathe new life into older hardware.

Both accounts illustrate perfectly that ThinkPads are not only corporate tools, but also beloved hardware of hobbyists, developers and technology enthusiasts. Their modular construction and broad compatibility with Linux drivers are features that translate into many years of use and brand loyalty.

Lenovo on promotion and order logistics problems

Lenovo on promotion and order logistics problems

The weekly review would not be complete without a look at the retail market. Media Expert has launched a new round of computer hardware promotions with discounts of up to 350 PLN - the offer includes, among others, a Lenovo tablet, available at an attractive price for people looking for a solid device for work and study. The number of units on promotion is limited, so it is worth acting quickly.

However, not everything looks rosy on the buying side. One Reddit user shared a frustrating experience with ordering a Tab Plus Gen 2 tablet directly from the Lenovo store. The order, placed on 17 June with estimated delivery the following day - at a distance of only 70 km from the warehouse - did not arrive on time. Worse still, the order tracking system did not update the status for at least two days, invariably displaying the previous estimated delivery date.

This is a valuable signal for anyone planning to buy Lenovo hardware online: it is worth verifying delivery channels and having a plan B ready. The transparency of the logistics system is an area where Lenovo still has a lot to improve, especially as direct sales become increasingly popular.
