🔧 INSTALLATION PROCESS

2. Remove the base cover and disconnect the built-in battery
3. Remove the memory module, the storage drive with its cable, the WiFi card, the WWAN card (if present) and the thermal fan assembly
4. Remove the system board, the coin-cell battery, the speaker assembly and the LCD unit
5. Remove the 6 black M2 x 4 mm screws and 5 black M2 x 3 mm screws securing the keyboard and take it out
6. Install the new keyboard, tightening the screws to 0.181 Nm
7. Reassemble the laptop in reverse order, routing the cables correctly
8. Connect the power adapter (this re-enables the built-in battery), start the laptop and check all keys, the backlight and the TrackPoint
The replacement requires removing the system board, so we recommend it be done by a technical service or a person experienced in laptop repairs.
