⚙️ PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

The Lenovo Hybrid camera module combines an FHD 1080p camera with an infrared (IR) camera supporting Windows Hello face sign-in. The module board also carries two microphones that pick up your voice for video calls. The camera connects to the motherboard via the cable connector at the end of the board, and its underside has factory adhesive tape covered with protective film. Lenovo marking on the label: SC21D70383. Lenovo lists FRU 5C21D10434, 5C21D10435 and 5C21D10436 as equivalent substitutes.

🔧 INSTALLATION PROCESS

1. Turn off the laptop and disconnect the power supply and all external devices
2. Remove the screws securing the bottom cover, take it off and disconnect the battery
3. Remove the display bezel to access the camera module at the top of the lid
4. Disconnect the cable from the old module and carefully peel the module off the housing
5. Remove the protective film from the adhesive tape of the new module, stick it in the same place and connect the cable
6. Refit the bezel, reconnect the battery and reassemble the laptop
7. Power on the laptop and check the camera image, Windows Hello sign-in and the microphones
Replacement by a technical service or a person experienced in laptop repairs is recommended.
