🔧 INSTALLATION PROCESS

2. Unscrew and remove the bottom door
3. Remove the keyboard
4. Remove the keyboard bezel assembly (palm rest)
5. Disconnect the cable from the system board connector (MB end) and from the reader board (FP end), then carefully peel it off the chassis
6. Install the new cable: MB end to the system board, FP end to the reader board. Make sure both ends are firmly seated and the latches are closed
7. Reassemble in reverse order and connect the AC adapter, which re-enables the built-in battery
8. Boot the system and check the reader in Settings → Accounts → Sign-in options (Windows Hello)
Replacement by a technical service or a person experienced in laptop repairs is recommended.
