🔧 INSTALLATION PROCESS

1. Turn off Windows Fast Startup, restart the laptop, press F1 and in ThinkPad Setup select Config → Power → Disable built-in battery. The laptop turns off, wait 3-5 minutes. Remove the nano-SIM card if installed
2. Unscrew and remove the bottom door
3. Remove the keyboard
4. Remove the keyboard bezel assembly (palm rest)
5. Disconnect the cable plug from the system board, remove the board screw (M2 × 3 mm, black) and take out the old board with cable
6. Fit the new board, tighten the screw to 0.181 Nm and route the cable along the factory path
7. Connect the plug to the system board and make sure it is firmly seated
8. Reassemble in reverse order, connect the AC adapter (re-enables the built-in battery) and test power-on with the button
Replacement by a technical service or a person experienced in laptop repairs is recommended.
