🔧 INSTALLATION PROCESS

Sequence according to the Lenovo Hardware Maintenance Manual for the ThinkPad P15 Gen 1.
1. Turn off the laptop and disconnect the power and all external devices
2. Disable the built-in battery in BIOS (Disable built-in battery option)
3. Remove in order: the service door, keyboard, keyboard bezel, base cover and hinge caps
4. Disconnect the display cable, the camera and touch cable and the antenna wires from the motherboard, noting how they were routed
5. Remove the 4 black M2.5 × 8 mm screws securing the LCD assembly and take off the old assembly
6. Fit the new assembly and tighten the screws to 0.294 Nm
7. Route the cables and antenna wires in the guides without tension and connect them to the motherboard
8. Reassemble the laptop in reverse order
9. Start the laptop and check the image, touch, camera, Windows Hello and Wi-Fi connection
