🔧 INSTALLATION PROCESS

1. Power off the laptop and disconnect the power adapter and all external devices
2. Remove the bottom cover screws and carefully take off the cover
3. Disconnect the battery from the motherboard
4. Disconnect the cables from the motherboard, unscrew the hinges and remove the display assembly
5. Transfer the motherboard with the cooling system, battery, speakers, drives and touchpad to the new palmrest
6. Before fitting the display, repair the hinge mounts on the damaged side, e.g. by heat-setting new threaded inserts
7. Screw the hinges down, connect the keyboard ribbons and remaining cables, refit the bottom cover
8. Power on the laptop and check the keyboard, backlight and hinge operation
