2. Remove the bottom cover screws and carefully lift off the cover
3. Disconnect the battery from the system board
4. Remove the M.2 SSD and the WWAN modem (if installed)
5. Remove the heatsink and fan assembly and disconnect all cables and antenna wires from the board
6. Remove the screws securing the board and lift it out of the chassis
7. Install the new board, tighten the screws, reconnect the cables and antennas, refit the heatsink with fresh thermal paste, then the drive and battery
8. Refit the bottom cover, power on the laptop and check the ports, Wi-Fi, camera and touchscreen
Replacement by a service technician or a person experienced in laptop repairs is recommended.
